One to one

 

This is all about working towards your own goal. This could be losing/gaining weight or preparing for a wedding. Whatever your goal(s) Fitness Rate is here to help guide you and motivate you along the way.  People choose to have one to one sessions because they want to work without any interruptions or find it hard to go to the gym.  People may find it very difficult to contact a Personal Trainer as lack of confidence can get in the way, that’s why at Fitness Rate we do not judge people and are here to help by taking everything step by step. Having fun while doing exercise can help to gain strength and confidence in other areas of life, which is an extra bonus for all. Some people may want to challenge themselves by timing themselves or getting to their goals just that little bit quicker than doing fitness on their own. Small Groups

 

This is a great way to get your friends together and start a small exercise group. Good way to keep cost down as with groups the fees may be reduced.  Sometimes when going on holiday, wanting to feel good, losing weight we need friends to share the experience and to help us towards our goal(s), as well as having someone to guide us with a programme to suit all our needs. A fun way to get fit and healthy with friends.

Circuit Classes

 

These classes can be energetic or low impact depending on the needs of the class. You may want to take the circuits on as an individual and challenge yourself. Circuits cover cardiovascular, power skills, agility and so much more – this is a fun way to take on your friends or work alone. Feel good classes – these classes can only take place if there is enough space, ideally use of garden or park. Indoors if room is big enough.

Walking classes

 

Are you the sort of person who likes the outdoors, but not sure where to start when it comes to doing fitness? Some people find running difficult to do. This could be to do with joint problem or just disliking running. Have you ever thought of walking/power walking to losing weight? Add exercises while walking to give muscular, strength and endurance exercises.

Being a mum can be hard to work out, finding the time – do you have a young baby who likes to be in the push chair?  Why not walk with your pram and know your baby is safe. Pram walking can be just as fun as you will still gain a good workout while pushing your pram (babies must remain in push chairs at all times) Please call Fitness Rate for more information.

Children

 

Children need to understand about fitness and learn about why we should think about having a healthy lifestyle. The only way this can be balanced out is through advice by parents/guardians, schools and through their peers. Obesity is a worry to society, which means we need to think about our children’s health. We all know it’s not just about obesity, as the media send out bad messages especially towards girls, as well as boys about how skinny or bulking up using steroids is best, however we all know that it can do more harm than good to children. Children can do one to one or group classes including advice on eating and why we should eat healthily.  As with all of the above with exercises children need to exercise more than once a week. Children have growth spurts and children/parents/guardians need to be aware of what their bones are doing while they are growing. Balance exercises will help children’s motor skills and it has been said exercise helps children learn better.

Older Adult

 

No matter what age we are, no one says we have to stop exercising because we have reached 60 years old or we can’t take up exercise because we have reached 80 years old. Ever thought about every day daily tasks – reaching up to close the window, bending down to get something out of the oven, walking to the bus stop all these daily tasks can be difficult if we don’t use our muscles, however some people suffer from arthritis and other medical problems and this can make exercise hard to do, but saying that, it has been said Exercise may help to reduce pain. Remember the days where you could walk that little further than you do now – why not contact Fitness Rate and ask to have a walking fitness programme or strength programme for the upper body to help you reach up and get washing off the line easier. The saying goes if you don’t use it your lose it. Why not improve life and have some fun while doing it – like I said it doesn’t matter how old you are or how frail you are.

Nutrition Management

 

For those who want advice on eating habits and body measurements. Some people may want to carry out nutrition with fitness throughout the time they lose weight. Some may just want to have this special ingredient of Nutrition Management once a month. A diary is given out for the client to fill in. This shows the client how well they are doing or not so well, but can be steered on the right track with advice. Body measurements can be taken which includes body fat, blood pressure, taped measurements and few extra. This is a good way to find a healthy balance with foods and to introduce foods that are a little bit naughty as treats.
